You can get everything faster than you ever dreamed but it does take God and goals.

The eternal “AHHH” – A cerebral palsy with a delightful wit once said; God is preparing me for heaven…I am in His oven, so to speak. I am being baked for an eternal purpose. I am not finished yet. When I die and stand before Him, He is going to say, ‘well done.’”

During this article I am going to guide you through some essential steps God gave me to prepare myself for something very important to Him and me. I reached my dream quicker and I believe easier as I set goals and deadlines and then had to practice ‘faith, rest and obedience’ in Him.

Daily I would have to check myself against God’s Word, the whisper of the Holy Spirit, the goals and the timelines of progression. The timelines were introduced to keep me encouraged as achieving some of the simple steps were a great motivating factor keeping me strong, confident and patient in the place of rest. In God all things are possible!

And yes, I am sorry to say, there were days I felt helpless and fed up and would cry out to God “why is this so hard? Why can’t you take the pain away? What do I have to do to stop this situation? Why are you letting me go through this? I don’t understand why this is happening to me? Stop it all now please?” He heard me and always said the same thing “what did I say to you? It is done.” Bear in mind God does not feel pain rather He rewards obedience and love in every situation.

As you read this article you will see why God said; “what did I say to you? It is done.” But first let’s take a look at some facts and truths that had to be put into place to resolve the situation I was in. My intention is to give you solid information and guidelines how you can confidently take care of every unpleasant situation in your life Biblically and without reaction or destroying yourself image no matter how large or small the problem may be. Biblical principles are always the same as God never changes.

Preparation is the name of the game – believe it!

The Webster’s Dictionary gives an interest definition to the word preparation; a proceeding, a measure, an act of preparing, to manufacture, or a provision by which one prepares for something. For goals; the result or achievement toward which effort is directed, aim, end, to terminate a point in a race.

During my season of brokenness I found myself very confused, angry, frustrated, mistrusting, rejected, lonely, and so on and so on. However, I knew that I knew I had to take it a day at a time and stay in the word. My guidance came from the whisper of the Holy Spirit, my strength from God and my support from selected close friends who understood integrity.

Before I go ahead and share a strategy with you, may I take this opportunity, in saying; be gentle and kind to yourself. Create an atmosphere of safety and love around you. Eat well ensuring you are not consuming foods that encourage hypertension but rather eat green vegetables, protein, small amounts of brown pastas’ and low sugar level fruits. Rather eat four or five small meals a day than over loading at one meal as this habit initiates an ‘unhappy feeling in your soul’. Omega 3 and 6 is also a good idea as it suppresses depression and supplements skin, hair and nails. For exercise try to walk briskly for at least 20 minutes 4 times a week as your body releases endorphins considered to give you a boost and who doesn’t need that? Never forget your 6 glasses of water.

When everything is out of control and everyone has an opinion of what and how you should do things it’s very difficult to see clearly, to think constructively, to stay focused and make wise decisions. Strategizing with specific goals and timelines is the only way forward, as God and the Holy Spirit operate in that realm, so you are never alone with the enemy rather you have wisdom as your leader.

When we are in an unhealthy situation our natural mind wants to fix it and fix it quickly. It jumps in boots and all and starts snatching at straws trying to alienate the pressure and the pain we feel. We become desperate and panic stokes the problem instead of strategizing the solution. It took God three times to correct me during my season of brokenness as panic wanted to take over all rational thinking and planning.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3: 18 – 19; “Stop fooling yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you will have to become a fool so you can become wise by God’s standards. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say “God catches those who think they are wise in their own cleverness.”

Intense pain to the human being is very destructive and causes huge damage to the physical body and therefore you have to take care of your health. The soul is in conflict with the inner-man’s spirit and the mind is a control freak until it is renewed through the baptism of the Hoy Spirit. Only once the soul aligns with the Holy Spirit can body, soul and mind now operate in the spiritual realm. And may I say this, only then, are you in a position to strategize with the comforter on how to solve your situation.

This was my strategy totally based on Biblical principles:

  • Know God’s Will in the situation.
  • Then stand on that word as your life depends on it.
  • Surround yourself with three committed friends or mentors.
  • Do not be influenced by “know alls” this can be very dangerous.
  • Tell your friends what to pray to keep all on the same page.
  • Your team is to pray for you and only feed you scripturally not give you answers.
  • Study God’s word and get practical guidelines on how you should manage each day – one step at a time.
  • Your answers will come from God through His word.
  • Listen to the whisper of the Holy Spirit.
  • Stand confidently and strong do not deviate on the word God gave you.
  • Rest and wait for the big picture will be revealed to you.
  • Yours dreams are hidden in your talents God has blessed you with.
  • Take positive action and move do not become complacent in the situation.
  • Do not be influenced by others or obstacles in front of you.
  • Keep praying reverently and especially in tongues
  • Initiate a focused fast and even request your three friends mentors to accompany you in it.
  • Praise the Lord in all you do.
  • Keep a journal as your testimony is a message.
  • There will be days of anger and frustration but they are temporary.
  • Your pain will become your strength.
  • Your every tear drop is collect up in heaven as God hears you crying out.
  • This time of testing develops and lifts you to another level.
  • Endurance and obedience will be your eternal reward as God honors obedience.

In conclusion please read Proverbs 18: 14 – 16:

The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit (knowing brokenness) who can hear? The heart of the prudent (those who discern) getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge (God’s Will). A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
